  BASEBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
     Is It NFL Season Yet captured the title in the 16-team 2005 Fantasy Hockey Journal BB League.
     royal rooters finished second and Last Call placed third.

     The champion of the 18-team FantasyHockeyJournal.com BB League was stan the man.
     Amherst Pelicans were second and BOSOX LEGION was third.

     Slam Gang took second and DB2 placed third.

  2005 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP POOL
     Tie-breakers were used after Jim Marshall, John Opatts and Randy Steinman finished tied for the lead with 52 points. Marshall and Opatts correctly picked Joe Thornton as the tourney's leading scorer. Steinman picked Dany Heatley. (All had incorrectly selected Canada as the tournament winner in the first tie-breaker.)
     So- Jim Marshall and John Opatts are the co-winners of Fantasy Hockey Journal's 2005 World Championship Pool. Congratulations!

  2004-05 EUROPEAN LEAGUES HOCKEY POOL
     Winner Dave Kausch received a Puckjunkie ballcap & and two years of annual cheatsheet subscriptions from Puckjunkie.com.
     The 2nd-5th place finishers received two years of annual cheatsheet subscriptions from Puckjunkie.com.

  2004 WORLD CUP OF HOCKEY POOL
     Jim Marshall (35 pts.) won FHJ's 2004 World Cup of Hockey pool by a one point margin over Francois Rioux.
     Karen Hiebert and Brad Murphy Jr. finished tied for third with 33 points each.
     It was Marshall's second straight FHJ pool win and he received a Fantasy Hockey Journal baseball cap for his efforts. It was also the second straight Fantasy Hockey Journal pool that Rioux placed second.

  2004 FANTASY HOCKEY JOURNAL NHL PLAYOFF POOL
     Jim Marshall of Amherst, N.Y. won the 2004 Fantasy Hockey Journal Playoff Pool with 123 pts.
     Francois Rioux of Rimouski, Quebec finished second with 96 pts. while Mike Booth of Vernon, BC. was third with 94 pts.

  HEAD TO HEAD CLASSIC
     power play beat The Blaze in the playoff finals to win the championship of the 2003-2004 FHJ Head to Head Classic League at Yahoo.
     The Blaze had finished first in the regular season with a record of 88-38-28 and 204 points. hawks finished second with 186 points (81-49-24). Finnish Fanatics were third with 184 points (78-48-28). Eventual champion, power play were fourth in the regular season with a record of 78-52-24 and 180 points.

  FANTASY HOCKEY JOURNAL LEAGUE
     The winner in the 19-team 2003-2004 Fantasy Hockey Journal League (a points league) was blueline with 1342.75 points. Brights Grove Lefty finished second with 1221.25 points while Toronto Maple Leafs were third with 1213.50 points.

  "BRAGGING RIGHTS ONLY" POOL
          Jim Blair won the 2003-2004 Fantasy Hockey Journal "Bragging Rights Only" regular season pool with 698 points. Francois Rioux finished second with 686 points.
      The pool was tracked by www.pickuphockey.com at the end of the season after smsofficepools tried to introduce a fee after advertising their services as free.

  FANTASY HOCKEY JOURNAL FOOTBALL
     Two Fantasy Hockey Journal football leagues at Yahoo operated in 2003-2004.
     When Fantasy Hockey Journal FB (a 16-team head to head league) filled so quickly, Fantasy Hockey Journal FB2 (a 20-team points-style league) was created.
     Hoagie Gate which finished the season in 2nd place at 10-4 emerged from the playoffs as league champion of the Fantasy Hockey Journal FB League.
     DB2 with 875 points edged out rent a team which had 870 points to take the title in the Fantasy Hockey Journal FB2 League.

  RUNAWAY BASEBALL WINNER
     homers built a commanding lead early in the season and coasted to the 2003 championship of Fantasy Hockey Journal BB at Yahoo.
     homers finished with 7865 points with DB2 a distant second with 6817 points in the 15-team league.

  FANTASY HOCKEY JOURNAL PLAYOFF POOL
     Brad Murphy of Kitchener, Ontario added another Fantasy Hockey Journal pool title to his collection when he won the 2002-2003 Playoff Pool. Murphy's 10-team entry totalled 84 points to top the field.
     Mark Fenton of Kirkland Lake, Ontario placed second with 77 points while Mike Booth of Vernon, B.C. finished third with 76 points.

  FHJ LEAGUES AT YAHOO
     hebgeb defeated Nation's Sensations for the championship of the 2002-2003 FHJ Head to Head league at Yahoo. hebgeb finished first in the regular season standings while Nation's Sensations was third.
     Border Cats, who finished the season in second place beat fifth place power play for third place.
     GET ON THIS! captured first place in the 2002-2003 Fantasy Hockey Journal League (pool style) at Yahoo in a battle that went down to the wire.
     Karch Test Dummies finished second and Slippery Ice Dawgs placed third in the 20-team league.
