FOURTH YEAR BREAKOUTS

An NHL player's fourth year is commonly their breakout season.

With that in mind, here are 10 forwards poised to have their breakout season in 2021-2022:

- CONOR GARLAND LW VANCOUVER
Should produce in a top-6 role in Vancouver with Bo Horvat or Elias Petterson as his center.

- ROOPE HINTZ C DALLAS
With his abilities, time-on-ice and power play time, this could be his breakout season- if he can stay healthy.
Hintz ranked 2nd in Time-On-Ice and fourth in power play time on Dallas in 2020-21.

- ANDREI SVECHNIKOV LW CAROLINA
First liner has already had a 61-pt. season (2019-20).
Power play time will help.

- BRADY TKACHUK LW OTTAWA
Has scored at .63, .62 and .64 PPG pace in his first three seasons. Look for more points with his first line and power play roles on an improving Ottawa squad.
Led Ottawa in PIM's and hits in 2020-21.

- DRAKE BATHERSON RW OTTAWA
Another Senator first-liner who gets power play time. Could hit 50 points.

- VICTOR OLOFSSON RW BUFFALO
Could suffer with the absense of Jack Eichel at center but will get power play time.

- MAX COMTOIS LW ANAHEIM
Playing on a line with Trevor Zegras should boost his production.
In secondary fantasy categories, Comtois was third in PIMS, fourth in hits and fifth in Time-On-Ice among Anaheim forwards in 2020-21

- DILLON DUBE LW CALGARY
Projected third liner could break out to 40 points.

- ROBERT THOMAS C ST.LOUIS
Expected to break out as a scorer for the last three years, but hasn't. Missed 25 games due to injury in 2020-21.

- JORDAN KYROU RW ST.LOUIS
A streaky scorer who could put up decent numbers with more consistency.

-RANDY STEINMAN
